Abby Briggs, Associate of Science in Nursing, Keiser University Clearwater Campus

Abby BriggsKeiser University’s nursing program has provided me with a strong foundation in both clinical skills and compassionate patient care, preparing me for success as a new graduate nurse. The small class sizes allow a one-on-one touch between the instructors and the students. I would like to thank my Fundamentals instructor, Ms. Wiessner, my Basic Adult Health and Pharmacology instructor Ms. Margolis, my OB instructor Ms. Guess, and my Pediatrics and Rolls instructor Ms. Cramer. These intelligent nurses have molded me into a competent, knowledgeable, and outgoing new graduate nurse who is not afraid to jump into any opportunity that is thrown at me. I’m excited to share that I’ve accepted a job offer as a Labor and Delivery nurse at HCA Brandon Regional Hospital, where I’ll have the opportunity to support mothers and newborns during one of the most important moments in their lives. I’m also honored to have received the Flower Bud Award, a recognition given to new nurses for exemplifying excellence, dedication, and a bright future in nursing. Without this program, I would not be where I am today. Thank you, Keiser University Nursing, for a well-rounded nursing education and for making us new nurses stand out to the competition.
